Lone Crow Coffee was born out of a passion for the rich tapestry of coffee culture and the unbreakable bonds it weaves. Founded by indigenous Australians, we are more than just a coffee brand – we are a tribute to the land we call home, the people who inhabit it, and the stories that connect us all.

PureBean is an Australian owned and operated company, established in 2004. Along the fun journey, there have been many stories to tell, valuable connections, great achievements and above all, a common passion shared amongst us and our customers – the love for great coffee. With customers all over Australia, our focus is on creating a perfectly tailored solution to meet each individual requirement and taste. We pride ourselves on not only supplying our customers with everything they need to make a great cup of coffee, but also for providing them with a unique overall experience with efficiency, endless possibilities and solutions.

Our Milk

Decorative line

LGreat Grandfather Hopper purchased the land in 1948 and we initially began as a cream only farm. After we built our own processing and bottling plant early this century, due to the deregulation of the industry and our fight to survive, we expanded. We began purchasing milk from other local farmers on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and beyond.

The flexibility and control afforded to us, by managing our own plant, has facilitated the opportunity for us to pay our farmers at a much higher rate per litre of milk. In turn, this has enabled each farmer to keep their herds healthy and their farms viable.

The company received an overwhelmingly positive response from their consumers. For that we are very appreciative and we say thank you for your support of our dairy, our farmers and our industry.

About

Dr Joseph Bancroft

Decorative line

Dr. Joseph Bancroft was a brilliant medical practitioner in Deception Bay, Queensland, who left a lasting legacy in Australian scientific research. Originally from England, he migrated to Australia for health reasons. His work in parasitology was groundbreaking; he famously discovered the mature form of the filarial worm (Wuchereria bancrofti), which causes lymphatic filariasis. He also pioneered research into numerous other diseases and explored the medical properties of native Australian plants. Dr. Bancroft's connection to Deception Bay was significant; he owned property there, conducted research, and even established the Bancroft Baths along the waterfront. These baths, carved into sandstone, were created for his wife's therapeutic saltwater treatments and remain a testament to his dedication and local impact.

Known for its residential development, Deception Bay is also home to scenic beachfront paths and historical sites like the Bancroft Baths.

The Kiosk

The Kiosk at Deception Bay is steeped in local history, having been established by the Wallin Family around 1935. It served as a communal hub where people could enjoy snacks and the beautiful bay scenery. The kiosk has undergone various changes over the years, including a notable ownership change in 1995 when it was taken over by George and Viola Turnbull, descendants of the Wallin family. Despite these changes, The Kiosk has remained a cherished part of Deception Bay, symbolizing the area’s rich cultural heritage and community spirit.
